Spain's SOS says to buy Bertolli with bridge loan

MADRID, July 21 (Reuters) - Spanish food group SOS Cuetara (Madrid: SOS.MC) SOS.MC> said on Monday it plans to finance its 630 million euro acquisition of Unilever (LSE: ULVR.L) ULVR.L> olive oil and vinegar business Bertolli with a bridge loan.

Sos Cuetara said in a statement the bridge loan would be partly financed through one or more of several of options -- a capital hike, an initial public offering of its olive oil business in Italy or the partial sale of non-strategic assets.

Goodwill from the operation will be calculated upon the deal's close, it said.

Sos shares reopened 0.2 percent higher at 12.82 euros after being suspended earlier on Monday.
